 Starting with your minimal command line above, I have gradually added
 options in and retested.  The problem is being caused by the error
 resilience setting -er 4. I've been using this because I expect a live
 DVBS broadcast would have some errors in it. However I'll run without it
 for a while to see if we can get by without it.
