 There is not going to be any backtrace to look at as you can't get it to
 crash with ffmpeg command line tools and I am using a windows app to
 create the multi-threaded situation.

 Beyond that, crashes are spurious and can be anywhere. This is do to
 memory overwrites or similiar.
