I installed Ubuntu13.04 in a spare HD and I have run the basic command:

I played with aplay and there is the distortion. Still bad.
Does this confirm your thought?
Alsa is now 1.0.25 instead of 1.0.22
What I have to do now to help to fix the bug?
Yes I need the bug to be fixed as I need to run ffmpeg to capture video
and audio.
