 This is not how FFmpeg or avconv behave (or ever have) and such a
 behaviour would be a significant and unexpected change afaict. (And why
 should black be the default? See for example laraShadow_dl.flv.)

 I am closing this ticket because I neither see a bug nor do I think the
 bug tracker is the right place to discuss a significant change of
 behaviour: Imo, send a patch (or PoC) to the development mailing lists.
