 The attached file crashes ffmpeg and vlc for me. The original file is very
 large, so I did `ffmpeg -i ORIGINAL -ss $sometime -t $partialsecond -c
 copy SXS00455_ffv1_crash.mkv​` to make the attachment.

 Are you sure it is undamaged? For me it even crashes in ffplay.
